The Rákosi demo was the first release for Combat Action Tapes and came out summer 2009. I first got the idea of doing the tapes when hearing the songs for this demo and finding out that they were only being released as a cdr. At that moment I knew I wanted to have something to do with the band. My friend Jonah was the person who clued me into this band after playing a gig with them the Hungary that spring. Here is the description he wrote for me,
"Unexpected whirlwind from some no mans land in Hungary near the Romanian border. Named for the infamous Hungarian leader Matyas 'Bald Murderer' Rakosi, they impress with some ruthless, ugly, and muscular punk. Rakosi's sound is influenced by the USA but they are comfortably foreign and could easily have snuck in on Cleanse the Bacteria or Welcome to 1984. Acid vocals like Olho Seco, this is fuming hate from the modern Magyar State. Simultaneously released by the band in Hungary on CDR and by Combat Action in North America on cassette with new artwork."
Rákosi - Tinana
I am down to the last few copies of this so if you are interested send me an email first.
